Terms and Conditions

By visiting the Lovemyread website, and by purchasing Lovemyread products, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the terms and conditions of use outlined below.

The website lovemyread.com is owned and operated by Lovemyread LTD.

Throughout this document, the term ‘us’ or ‘we’ refers to Lovemyread (legally owned and operated by Lovemyread Ltd.), and as such, represents the views of the company in their entirety.

Lovemyread Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12432746). Our registered office and address for correspondence is 3 Bloomsbury Place, WC1A 2QA. Our VAT number is 350 6491 05

To become a Lovemyread member, simply click any of the “join" or “Subscribe” buttons located throughout the Site. You will be prompted to submit your name and email address, and if subscribing, provide your corresponding billing and shipping information, and complete the purchase of your initial membership. Once you become a member, you will be able to take advantage of the many benefits available.

Purchasing a subscription

Subscriptions are sold in monthly 3, 6 or 12 month packages. Adult packages will be emailed a curated selection of 5-6 books each month where under the terms of your subscription you may pick 1 book to be sent via post. Children packages will be posted 1 age relevant book chosen by LoveMyRead and its curators for the package undertaken per month. There is no option to cancel deliveries that have been paid for, other than as stipulated in our cancellation terms below.

Upon subscription, you authorise us to arrange withdrawal of funds, from the credit or debit card you supplied upon ordering, at the start of each subscription term without further reference to you.

If your payment fails for whatever reason, you will be notified by email and we will retry the payment several times. You agree not to hold us responsible for banking charges incurred due to payments we take.

As part of your adult lovemyread subscription, users will receive an email on or about the 10th of each month announcing our new Monthly Selections. You will have until the end of the the month to review the Monthly Selections.

If you are on a monthly package, you may skip the month and no payment will be taken for your next month. Collection will automatically resume on the 1st of the month after. We are unable to reverse a skip so please do so carefully. If you are happy to continue payments but don't want a book that month, we offer the chance to 'bank' your slot. This is a process whereby you leave the slot open with no book selected. This will remain open and you will be able to come back and pick a book at any time whilst you have an active subscription.

If you are on a gift or pre paid subscription (3, 6 or 12 months) then you can 'bank' your monthly slot and use it at a later date. Banking is a process whereby you leave the slot open with no book selected. This will remain open and you will be able to come back and pick a book at any time whilst you have an active subscription. Unfortunately you cannot push your renewal date but you will always get the amount of books that have been paid for.

Open slots can be redeemed up to 14 days after a subscription has expired. Outside of this 14 day cooling off period, open book slots will be closed and can no longer be redeemed unless you have an active subscription. It is not possible to 'skip' a month whereby pushing your expiration date, when on a gift or prepaid package.

We reserve the right to not extend your subscription by one month if you do not choose a book or skip a month. Every attempt will be made to contact you asking you if you wish to receive a book though.

If you join lovemyread after the 15th day of the month, the window of time you have to make your selection(s) , or skip the following month will be communicated to you as part of the enrolment process.

If you join lovemyread after the 25th of any given month, you will only have the option to select titles from the following month. As such, you will presented the following month’s selection/choice as part of the sign up process detailed above.

When gifting a subscription for an adult or child, you, will be classed as ‘the gifter’ and the recipient, ‘the recipient’. The Gifter shall be the primary owner of the account, responsible for entering correct information, including payment information from the ‘gifter' and delivery details for the recipient to receive their first order. When gifting, you pay in advance for either a 3, 6 or 12 month package. The Gifter by agreeing to these terms and conditions agrees they have permission to share their recipients email and postal address under a legitimate purpose to gift a book subscription service.

For the duration of the gift, the gifter will be responsible for the payment details. The Gifter shall enter an email address for the recipient (if gifting for a child, please enter a parent or guardian’s email address). When the gift ends, the ‘gifter’ will be contacted to ask if they wish to renew the gift or if they would like to pass ownership to the ‘recipient’. If they select renew, it will automatically renew. If they want to pass ownership, the recipient will receive an email asking them if they wish to take ownership of the package and if yes, will be required to enter bank details to carry on payments and future packages. Ownership of the package will now lie with the individual who used to be the recipient or parent/guardian.

Purchasing a single item

We use our reasonable endeavours to make sure that ever production on Lovemyread is shown accurately and that prices are correct.

As our content is curated by lovemyread and its partners, some of our content is behind an email wall. You, the user may place an order upon creating a basic email account with lovemyread. By confirming your order you are agreeing to purchase the product you have selected. At this point we will take payment by means of your nominated payment method. You shall receive a thank you for your order email detailing your order and any other information we must provide you.

At checkout, shipping speed and payments will be presented to you.

Orders and payments

The prices on our website are displayed in GBP. Lovemyread Ltd uses the Stripe payment platform and will charge your account in GBP upon receipt of your order and subscription renewal. Payment can be made by credit or debit card. It is essential that you provide us with a valid email address at the time of placing your order.

We will accept your order by email confirmation and subsequently the contract between lovemyread Ltd and yourself or gift recipient is made. We reserve the right to remove any of our product range from sale at any given time without providing public notice of our intention.

Should we wish to cancel the ongoing agreement between ourselves and you, we will notify you immediatley and will provide full reimbursement on a pro-rata basis on the cost of goods remaining.

Account at website

Upon creating your account, you agree to accept respobsility for all actives that occur under your account including password. If you believe someone to have accessed your account without your permission, you must log into your account and change your password and email [email protected]

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions will automatically renew unless notified by yourself in advance of the renewal date, that you wish to cancel or suspend your subscription package. You understand that your membership will automatically renew on your assigned renewal date. This date will either be made available to you via your account page at our website or may be emailed to you. As a member, you authorise us (without notice to you, unless required by applicable law) to charge a renewal subscription identical to the regularity and time period previously undertaken by yourself, using the debit/credit card we have on file for you. From time to time, we may change the price associated with the available subscription packages on our website during the term of your membership; in such a case, you will be notified ahead of time and your membership will renew at the then-prevailing price of your current plan.

All renewal payments will be taken on the 1st of the month in which you are due to receive the first book of your new subscription term. You can see when your next payment is due by visiting 'My Account' once logged into our website.

Shipping

We will send you an email notifying you when your goods have been shipped. You can find your order details and tracking information (when available) in the account section of the lovemyread website. Postage will be made via secure mail and Royal Mail. Postage will most commonly be made via Royal Mail 2nd Class. When necessary, other providers may be used. As part of the subscription package, delivery is included within your package price. When ordering via our online ‘shop’ for individual items or more, our system will calculate shipping costs and present you with appropriate options at check out.

COVID-19 & Late Deliveries

If we are made aware of a delay in the shipment of your package, we will notify you via email as soon as possible. Should your package not arrive within 2-3 days of your dispatch confirmation, please allow 7 further days for this package to be delivered.

Due to the current coronavirus pandemic, all delivery suppliers are experiencing delays in expected delivery times. LoveMyRead is working with Royal Mail to ensure all packages are delivered on time however some delays are to be expected.

Should your package not arrive after the further 7 day period, contact - [email protected] and we will resolve the issue for you.

Cancellations

For personal subscriptions, cancellations must be made using cancellation button via your membership page by pressing the three dots to the right of the relevant subscription. Cancellations must be made prior the start of the following month and cannot be issued once the month has started.

Payments and subsequent orders are not eligible for refunds or returns on this basis.

To receive a refund you must return goods to lovemyread in a saleable condition within 14 days of cancellations. Gifts can be refunded until they are activated, however once the gift is activated it cannot be refunded. Refunds will not be issued for books once shipped.


Once a cancellation is made, any unused slots must be redeemed within 14 days of the cancellation, or they will be lost. We will not be able to ship books where one (or more) months has lapsed and a slot has not been redeemed.


Refunds will not be processed until goods have been received at the following address for returns "LoveMyRead, Unit 9, Sybil Mews, N14EP". We reserve the right for refunds to take 14 working days upon receiving goods at this address.

Return postage is at a cost to you and will not be paid for by lovemyread Ltd.

When cancelling an automatic renewal of any subscription package, you may do so at any time before the renewal payment is taken on the 1st of every month. To cancel, you may log into our website and visit your account page.

Damaged Goods or dissatisfaction.

If your goods are damaged upon arrival, please send pictures within 24 hours of receiving to [email protected].

Personal Data.

We collect personal data when you use our services and website. Your data is used in accordance with our privacy notice, available on our website.

Marketing

You will only be marketed to if you have opted in. Where appropriate, we will send you information regarding our current and past, adult and children monthly selections of books. Content that we deem appropriate and suitably inline with lovemyread will also be presented to you via email or your account pages. To opt out of any marketing materials you receive, either click unsubscribe at the bottom of any email, or email us at [email protected]

Consumable Free Gifts

We will give you free consumable gifts as part of your subscription from time to time ('Free Gift'). The Free Gift may contain individually packaged items containing ingredients which may cause allergies or intolerances such as:

Please refer to the individual ingredients listed on each individually packaged item in the Free Gift for specific details. As our subscription boxes are packed in the same environment, we are unable to guarantee that any individual item is completely free from any of the ingredients listed above.
