The Moomins

In case you didn't know, the Moomins are kind, loyal and welcoming creatures with smooth round snouts, who live in a tall blue house shaped like an old stove in Moominvalley. They love sunshine and sleep right through the winter, when the snow turns their house into a great snowball.

These magical creatures enjoy a multitude of adventures with their various friends. The Moomins love the sea and enjoy hanging out at the beach. Sometimes, they set out on journeys of exploration that take them far from Moominvalley, but they know they always have a safe home to return to.

Read Hour will be returning for its third year in the UK this September. Comet In Moominland

A comet is speeding towards Earth and nobody in Moominvalley knows what to do!
Will it destroy everything and everyone?

Moomintroll decides to find out. So, with Sniff, he sets off on an expedition to ask the Professor if a comet is really on its way to destroy the Earth.

On their journey they meet some interesting people - such as Snufkin the vagabond, and the Hemulen who rescues them from an underground tunnel - and have narrow escapes from such menaces as crocodiles and giant lizards!

And on their way back Moomintroll meets the beautiful Snork Maiden and is a changed Moomin for ever after. But what about the comet - and is the World Wiped Out?...

Finn Family Moomintroll

They love sunshine and sleep right through the winter, when the snow turns their house into a great snowball. In spring they wake up, clamber down the rope ladders hanging from their windows ready for fresh new adventures.

And so this classic story begins, full of fun and excitement and the most unexpected happenings. Such as when Moomin and his friends Snufkin and Sniff find a Hobgoblin's hat that casts a spell over the whole of Moominvalley...

The Last Dragon In Moominvalley

When Moomintroll finds a tiny dragon, he puts it in a jam jar to keep it as a pet. He's so excited to have found the very last dragon in the world! But Moomintroll soon realises that the dragon wants to be free. And when the dragon seems to prefer Snufkin, will Moomintroll's heart be broken?
